Taylored Expressions Sketch # 109

>> Monday, April 19, 2010

Sometimes birthday cards can be the hardest to make! I find myself making so many (with a large immediate and extended family its inevitable) that I sometimes get into the habit of batch making them. I was so thrilled with Taylor's newest sketch and right away had the inspiration for a different birthday card.

The owl is hand cut and pieced together from a template I found online using some cardstock scraps. While not a huge owl fan in real-life, there is something irresistible about them on cards and in scrap layouts, why is this? I don't have an owl stamp, so I had to improvise a little. I'm rather pleased with how the little guy turned out.

CARDS Get Published Challenge

>> Thursday, April 1, 2010

I am heading out the door here, so will make this brief! The challenge by CARDS blog, is to create a wedding card with the incentive being that the winner gets published in an upcoming CARDS magazine issue, wouldn't that be fun! I made one wedding card and the 2nd one turned into an anniversary card!

See if I have time to add the supplies used a bit later!

Have a great day!
